Tours feature seven to 10 properties each day in one of 11 neighborhoods, dating from the American colonial period, through the antebellum and Victorian eras, to early 20th century. Beautiful architecture and lush gardens are woven throughout the historic neighborhoods   Experience the charm and elegance of the properties we tour while relishing spring in the south. Savannah has the largest Historic Landmark District in North America and we will walk and walk more to immerse ourselves in Savannah's charm. Women travelers will arrive in Charleston, South Carolina and transfer independently to our fine accommodations in the heart of the historic district. Settle in before getting acquainted with fellow travelers and the charms of the city at our welcome dinner in the historic district this evening.  D

This morning you will get an overview of Charleston with our locally guided walking tour.  After lunch you can  enjoy touring  private Historic Houses & Gardens.  The tour will include some of Charleston's finest homes and gardens dating to the 18th century. This is one of  the loveliest times of the year to visit Charleston, and the gardens will be at their peak bloom for your enjoyment. Tonight we continue to sample Charleston's fine Southern cooking. This morning we will drive the short distance from Charleston to visit the renowned gardens at Middleton Place. The oldest landscaped gardens in America and considered one of the finest gardens in North America comprise  65 acres established in 1741 by Henry Middleton and a National Historic Landmark today. We will meander the gardens,museum and enjoy lunch before returning to Charleston for relaxing and more exploring the rich history and architecture this afternoon.   B/L

We will depart Charleston early this morning for our visit to historical Savannah. Enroute we will visit the classic village of Beaufort and meander the historic district where we will enjoy many pre civil war homes and the antebellum architecture often filmed in movies.  Upon arrival in Savannah, we will take a guided tour of Savannah’s historic center, a living museum and the largest National Historic Landmark District in the country. This evening we will continue sampling fine Southern cooking with the flavor of Paula Deens style cooking in historical Savannah. B/D

Today we will immerse ourselves in one of America's most historical cities. After a walking Architectural tour this morning we will visit the Telfair Museum and tour The Owens-Thomas House and Jepson Center. This evening we will gather for our last taste of Southern Cooking and farewells. B/D

Women travelers will leave Savannah independently today at your leisure to travel home,  with fond memories of the history, gardens, and charms of southern living.
