Women's Small Group Tour to Quintessential Iceland 2018

Quintessential Iceland

Join women traveling together for our 2018 Iceland summer small group tour to this naturally beautiful  island  and meet a puffin or two.  Let your spirit soar with nature during our 2018 women's tour of Iceland's renowned glaciers, geysers, and waterfalls along the Golden Circle.  It's summer in Iceland, the land of the Midnight Sun, when the wildflowers are blooming in the meadows, temperatures are warmer, days last forever, and the waterfalls are beyond one's wildest imagination.  Iceland is one of those places where our packing list says bring a woolen hat, gloves and jacket for the winds along with your bathing suit.  Of course, we will dip in the notable Blue Lagoon, walk the trails to thunderous waterfalls, photograph the fields of wildflowers blooming, and sample what makes Iceland the place that is wild, wooly and wonderful.  It's the land of fire and ice and the land of glaciers and geysers. Reserve your adventure to Iceland.

Black Sand Beaches & Puffins

Throughout our tour, we will be experiencing a variety of landscapes which will indeed leave lasting imprints and extraordinary moments of wonder.  Islands Magazine counted the beach near Vik as one of the ten most beautiful non tropical beaches on Earth.  The cliffs west of the beach are home to many seabirds, most notably puffins, which burrow into the shallow soils during the nesting season.  Seljalandsfoss is a waterfall you can walk behind.  Before heading to the beach of Reynisfjara to see the basalt sea stacks of Reynisdrangar, we will learn the legend associated with the rocks and will walk on the black sandy beaches.

It's summertime and the wildflowers are blooming.  Thingvelier National Park is a treasure we will explore. It is where the Vikings established the first Parliament and is now home to the oldest working Parliament. This is a protected UNESCO World Heritage Site of outstanding natural beauty.  It is the only place in the world where you can stand on the American tectonic plate and see Europe.  Strokkur is the 4th biggest geyser in the world and erupts every five mionites or so.  Gullfoss waterfall, where the glacial river Hvita feeds milky green coloured water from the glacier Langjokull, is the second biggest glacier in Europe and awe inspiring.

Iceland will provide women travelers with a keen sense of untamed landscapes and an environment that reflects all spectrums of weather.,  It is an idyllic glimpse into a land discovered ages ago.
