You will arrive in London this morning and our driver will take us to the delightful Knightsbridge neighborhood where we will perch for our days in London. Peggy Coonley, the founder of Serendipity Traveler, will join travelers for the duration of our week together. After dropping your bags and enjoying a cup of tea, you will enjoy a walking tour of London before gathering for an informal light supper in Knightsbridge this evening.

We depart London today for our short Eurostar train journey to the center of Paris, the City of Light. The best way to experience Paris is on foot. Meander through the quartiers and distill the essence of Parisian life amidst the cafes, architecture, fashion, gardens, museums, and cathedrals. Drop your bags at our perfectly located hotel near St. Sulpice and we will continue to gather the best of Paris walking amidst the quintessential neighborhoods that are the heartbeat of Paris. The Cathedral of Notre Dame is a short walk and lovely to see as the evening lights appear in the city. We will gather tonight for dinner at one of the intimate café’s in our Paris neighborhood which locals know to be delightful.

We begin today with a privately guided walking tour of the gems of Paris. This afternoon we wander to the Rue Cler and lunch amidst the markets, cafes and shops. After lunch we will visit the Louvre, St. Sulpice or Musee Cluny. This evening, with the lights of Paris sparkling, we gather to board our river vessel at the Eiffel Tower where we will sip Champagne while taking in the views of the city along the river Seine.
|
There is so much to see as you sample the flavours of Paris. Today we will visit the The Musé d'Orsay located in a converted railway station which houses the Impressionist works of Renoir, Sisley, Monet and Pissaro and Van Gogh. The food in Paris is memorable and we will take a private tour that will introduce you to a sampler of delicious French artisan made breads, rare cheeses, luscious desserts, and other artisanal creations by the locals who make them. We will continue sampling French cuisine this evening with our farewell dinner at a local Bistro.
|
Plan a late afternoon flight so you will have time this morning for one last croissant, perhaps a few more shops to visit, or a early walk in the Gardens of Luxembourg before departing for Charles De Gaulle and your flight home with memories of London and Paris fresh and inspiring.
