Depart your home for the overnight flight to Italy.   Arrive in Florence, the capital of Tuscany and birthplace of the Renaissance.

Upon arrival in Florence, transfer to your luxury small hotel where you will meet your fellow travelers. After settling in, we have afternoon tickets to tour the Uffizi, one of the great museums of the world, which hosts perhaps the finest collection of art in all of Italy. You will be immersed in art and architecture amidst the squares and piazzas that are the heart of the city.   We will gather for dinner to savour the first sampling of the flavors of Italian cuisine at one of the local favorite trattorias.   D

This morning, our charming and knowledgeable Italian guide will take us on a historical guided walking tour of magnificent Florence.  In the afternoon and evening, we will further explore the treasures that comprise this exquisite city.   Perhaps you will stroll over the Ponte Vecchio, or visit  the Boboli gardens built by the Medici family in the 16 th century, or climb up San Miniato, or Giottos tower for enchanting views over the city at night. There is so much to see you will walk and walk and walk some more in beautiful Florence.  B/L

Today we will board the Trentalia to Siena perhaps the most beautiful small city in all of Italy. Upon  arrival our Italian guide will join us and lead women on a walking tour of the city. The city unfolds from the piazza called the Campo and while only one square mile in size, you will walk and walk some more to absorb the history, architecture and art that is Siena. Of course there are the gelato shops well timed for stops along the way.  Immerse all your senses here as you experience a full day in exquisite Siena. B/L

We bid Florence goodbye this morning and wind our way through the idyllic Chianti Classico wine country noted for vineyards, olive groves, quintessential Tuscan landscapes and stone villages.   We will be stopping along the way to taste local wines, sample olive oils, and enjoy lunch in the stunning Tuscan countryside.   Late in the afternoon we will arrive at our enchanting  countryside accommodations in Pienza a world apart from the city life of Florence. Today we will wander further off the beaten path, where ancient routes traverse the landscape and visit intriguing medieval hill towns south of Siena lies Montalcino, the Etruscan walled village and home to Italy’s beloved Brunello wines and Pienza, a small architectural jewel and a UNESCO World Heritage site. We will stop at Bagno Vignoni, a small spa town ,where the Medicis came for the healing waters.   Walking the hilltowns cobbled lanes you will immerse yourself in the authentic village life of Tuscany.  B/L

Today we will continue our exploration of pristine hill towns in this breathtakingly magical region.We  will continue our exploration of Tuscan life. Stopping to meet local artisans,perhaps visiting the local market, and include a visit to Monte Oliveto Maggiore, the Renaissance hermitage .This evening we will celebrate our Tuscan week and the enduring charms of Italy at our farewell dinner.  B/D
