Women’s Travel

Spring has been the time of two exciting radio interviews for me.  Travel Planners in the Midwest was the first and, more recently, the NPR station that hosts 2 Boomer Babes based in the Mid-Atlantic was the second;  both requesting interviews sharing my expertise on women's travel.  I had a lot of fun talking women's travel and tours and look forward to doing additional interviews as women's travel continues to grow and emerge.  Why did I start Serendipity Traveler is a common question.  The answer is simple.  I could not find a tour company for women that offered the sense of style, authenticity and fine accommodations that I like when touring.  I thought it would be great fun to gather women together and travel. My husband enjoys travel however I like to travel more.  My bucket list is a bit longer.  After two years of exhaustive travel research, I launched and have been offering trips of a lifetime for women travelers who appreciate the art of traveling well.  I hope to have a snippet from the interviews added to our website when I sort out where to put them!
We are small and growing and, yes, I still do personally lead each tour.  After doing all the work, I enjoy having the fun of meeting clients and watching the trips unfold. Our travel itineraries are different in that they are not prepackaged.  The preference is upscale accommodations and we thoroughly enjoy dining out.  Shopping is always something women do on tour.  We also explore museums, gardens, local activities, walking tours, history, art, architecture, and getting to know the essence of where we are. We are sophisticatedly casual in our comings and goings as we travel to places of great natural beauty; filling ourselves with wonder and memories.  Our clients are active and range from 40-75.
