Women Who Travel

Women who travel have more fun......don't you agree?  For certain, home is where the heart is and yet when we step outside the comforts of home, lots wonderful happens.
Yesterday I was in Boston with my husband.  The day was bright and beautiful.  Instead of going to our usual places for lunch in Beacon Hill, we queried the concierge and found out just where Flour was... "Three locations spread amidst the city", she replied.  I wanted to see the artist's studios percolating at Fort Point.  So, with our map in hand, we chose the original Flour location on Farnsworth St. near where we had trekked often to the Children's Museum with our three kids decades ago.  We walked amidst old buildings being revitalized amongst cobblestone streets and cafes sprinkled about. We ordered delicious sandwiches at Flour whose owner knows good food and whose cookbook looks like a fun Christmas present.We wandered in to Fort Point Studios and admired the creativity of locally made works. A lovely day in the city ended as we drove North with a full moon rising.
