Women Only Travel

There is nothing quite like a small group of women traveling together.  Perspectives, memories, conversations, careers, life stories and more all add to the collective richness of traveling with active women.  Oftentimes, women do not have a travel friend or companion with which to travel.  Traveling in a group of couples if you are single or widowed is not as much fun.  Most women do not enjoy solo travel all the time.  We come alone and gather from different places to begin our tour with one common denominator.... we have each dreamed of visiting the same place. That is it!  It's simple enough and sure to unfold a week of friendships, laughter, adventures and fun times.  Like the time one woman got caught in the ticket stand in England and, at dinner retelling her tale said, "if you think a mammogram is bad you haven't been pressed between the ticket machines in London."   Or,the time one woman had concerns about her husband's health and some of us chatted into the wee hours.  Or, the time another woman was celebrating a divorce and we toasted when she shared her news. Or, the birthdays when we all celebrate. No one woman ever takes the spotlight.  Each, in their own way, joins the group as they wish.  Some are quiet; some are chatty; others are somewhere in between.  All of the women travelers joining us have been a pure joy to get to know and travel with.  Some have traveled again with us and others are looking forward to their next trip.  When I started Serendipity Traveler, I didn't realize just how much fun this would be.
