Why Women Travel Together

There are many reasons why women like you are searching for a small group of women to travel with.  Quite simply, you love to travel and do not enjoy travelling alone.  This week, I met a woman at a nearby bookstore in guess where - the travel section.  I was looking for a specific Michelin map of the Piedmonte Region in Italy.  She was scanning a book on the Caribbean.  We chatted and she told me she really didn't want to travel alone yet couldn't find someone to travel with.  This gal didn't want to travel solo and yet wants to travel. That is where we come in!

It just isn't as much fun for most women to travel alone.  Women have always enjoyed the company of kindred spirits, sharing stories of life, and learning from each other along the way.  Certainly, some time alone time is cherished by all of us when traveling. However, few relish a whole week of traveling solo.  You can have all the friends in the world but often they aren't available to take a week away or they want to tramp the Sahara Desert and you don't like sand in your shoes, bra, or face.  Sometimes a friend wants to travel pure budget.  You're thinking, it's my vacation and a splurge here and there is well deserved. Work schedules, destination preferences, finances or other reasons can muddle friends traveling together.
