International Women’s Day

Events are taking place around the world celebrating the economic, political, and social achievements of women past and present with dreams of the future.  International Women's Day is a national holiday in some countries like China, Russia, Vietnam, and Bulgaria.  How can we in America, who have been so abundantly blessed, begin to comprehend what this day means to so many?  Perhaps we cannot.  We can choose to mark the day with gratitude for the women in our lives who have loved, inspired, educated and helped us.  We can reach out to women who need a helping hand to accomplish their dreams and goals. May this day be a celebration for each of us united by the air we breathe, the time we live, the memories we share, and the dreams we all hope to accomplish.
