Lots of articles are out now recommending where to travel in March. I will be traveling with my husband to Pittsburgh to welcome a new grandchild to our clan. I don’t expect to be touring the city much this trip. Lullabies and more will fill our days. A highlight of this renaissance city which I always enjoying exploring is the Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Garden. Wherever I travel, local gardens always intrigue me. Whether for a few hours or a morning or afternoon, time meandering amidst the diversity of plants and flowers will inspire. Our upcoming Serendipity Traveler trip late March to Charleston & Savannah will include historical houses and gardens in spring. Houses from the colonial period that were slated for demolition back in the 50’s are now the shining stars of Charleston’s historical district. It was a small band of women who worked to save the houses from the wrecking bar. Today, these homes are part of the pride of Charleston’s historic district. Imagine! We will also wander the gardens at Middleton Place pictured here. One of America's notable gardens.
